Following on from our previous blog, here are the remaining two common garage doors on the market.
Roller Garage Door
Roller garage doors are used when ceiling space is limited within a garage. The doors are 2-3” steel that rolls around a steel drum above the garage door opening.
These door types are designed for heavy use areas as they are more robust and due to their being no springs to rust or freeze. The downside of this more heavy-duty door is that the upfront cost is higher than a sectional garage door.
Side Hinge Garage Doors
These doors resemble large barn doors and swing in and out from a side hinge, and are generally made of wood (although steel versions are available). This type of garage door is ideal for those who have obstructions within the garage or have limited headroom.
